Sekiya’s Restaurant & Delicatessen isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience steeped in history, family, and the vibrant culinary heritage of Hawaii. Make it a point to visit; your taste buds will thank you.

Growing up in Hawai‘i you want the ‘local’ flavours. Saimin is a must, or Won Ton min. Old school style maki sushi is becoming harder and harder to find. Sekiya’s still does it right.

I heard this restaurant is one of the oldest ones in Oahu. Passing by this place very often, but no chance to visit. So we planned to dine! A few things I need to point out specifically. First of all, the chopstick! I haven’t seen the chopsticks bag with the restaurant’s name, address, and phone number for a long, long time! And in Japanese!! I can tell this restaurant stays open for a long time because they are loved by its customers. And second point is their macaroni potato salad. This is the best macaroni salad in this island for sure. The balance among mayo, macaroni, potato, and its flavor is perfect. This took me to my nostalgic memory very well. Third one is the marinated fried chicken! It is very crispy outside, and very juicy inside. AND they serve the chicken with grated daikon and ponzu sauce. It is really “home style” flavor, you are not getting tired of them. Service is really friendly, waiting time is short, price is very reasonable, and they have a plenty of parking space. Whenever I crave Japanese meals, this is the place from now on!

I so missed eating shrimp tempura the way Sekiya's makes theirs. We went there on our first day of arriving on Oahu and spent another day picking up some more shrimp tempura

Dined in last night for the first time about 45 minutes before they closed. Had some great food & great service for a decent price!

It's been a while since we ate here and was glad we did! The food and service was perfect!

Today is April 19 I had lunch with my buddy today. He had Wun Tun Mein and I had Combo plate Ahi Tempura and Teriyaki. The Ahi Tempura is Top of the Line so ono I shared with my friend. The Hot Tea is Brown Rice Tea. Inari and Maki Sushi, Chow Fun & Mac Salad to take home. Sekiya's Best Prices. Ono kine Grinds. Okazuya the best! Make it a point to them out. Happy Easter 2025. They have been around for a long time. They were rated one of the Top 5 places for Saimin around O'ahu. The staff treat you like ohana as if you just stopped by to eat. Great selection and of course I had the large saimin.it was perfect for an early dinner and was so filling. I also had a side of fried tofu.

Our server was funny and made our experience great even though she was overworked and super busy. Food was very ono (good)
